Stone column, also known as aggregate piers or vibro piers, is a ground improvement method in fine grained soil. In this method, drainage capabilities significantly increase by forming dense interlocking aggregate columns.
Stone columns are installed using two different techniques: vibro-displacement and vibro-replacement, each suited to different soil conditions and project needs.
Plastic piles are especially beneficial in aggressive environments that pose a high risk of rebars corrosion. Moreover, these piles are preferred in projects with high-rate production and installation demands.
