Raker

Raking shoring is another earth retention technique used as internal bracing system to provide lateral support for excavation and resist the imposed lateral loads.
Rakers are basically inclined steel elements that extends down from the shoring wall and are braced against footing. Similar to strut in function, these compression members are used in conjunction with other shoring systems such as secant walls, Berliner walls, contiguous walls, diaphragm walls, etc.
Raking shoring is another beneficial solution in the area with subsurface encroachment restrictions.
