Mechanically Stabilized Earth walls (MSEW)

Mechanically stabilized earth walls (MSEW) are a type of retaining walls built by layers of compacted granular soil, reinforced with continuous geosynthetic inclusions such as geogrids, geotextiles, geomembrane, geonet, etc.
In this geosynthetic reinforced soil system, the geosynthetic layers plays a crucial role in soil stability by developing tensile force. MSE walls are an ideal solution for building of bridge abutment, highway embankments and backfills behind the retaining walls
